How many kids do you have, and how many kids do your friends have?

You can't count pregnancies! Just kids that are alive. Hell, my own mother had SEVEN miscarriages before she got pregnant with my older brother. She believes strongly that it's fine to "replace yourselves" with a new generation but that's it. She has two kids. She would NEVER have had seven kids!

I have 3. Most of my close friends have 2 or 3 (pretty evenly split). A few have just one so far. Nobody has more than 3.

You sound disturbed. I don't mean counting every pregnancy ever had. If I was counting that way, I'd say I'm pregnant with my ninth, which would be ridiculous.

I have 3 and my friends are evenly spilt between 1, 2 and 3. Can’t think of anyone close with 4+. Probably most have 2, but my best friend has only 1.

Well what else could you have possibly meant when you said "... if you count pregnancies." ? That's what that means.

Pregnancies currently in progress. Rounding up, essentially. Not past miscarriages. That is an extremely bizarre reading.

I have 4. My youngest is a teenager and I am definitely done.

Most of my friends are about my age and also definitely done...and have anywhere from 2-4 kids.
But I do have a few friends with 7-8 kids (and still might have more.)

Nah, I've seen too many things go wrong - you can't count a pregnancy until it's resulted in a live baby.

I have 2. I have one friend with one, one friend with two, one friend with three, two friends with four and one friend with five.

I have 2. If we are talking about good friends then I would say the vast majority have 2, and then equally split between 1 and 3. Most folks I know did not have 1 by choice, but bc of fertility issues. I also have a small handful of good friends with no children. I am friendly with a few that have 4 kids but wouldn’t call them close friends.

I have five children here on earth that I birthed from my body ( this distinction added for all those lunatics that enjoy arguing over the semantics of what counts as a human) most of our friends have three children.

I’m 35 with 3. The majority of my friends still have 0. Starting to wonder if a tipping point is ever coming...

We have 3. Almost all of our friends have 2-3 kids. One family friends with 1 and 4. The person with 4 has had both sets of retired parents living within just a few minutes away. One set is walkable distance. Honestly, she probably does less childcare herself than any of my friends!
