James is the most popular of the 4. I like James, and popularity doesn't bother me, but to pick it over Nathan or Daniel because Nathan and Daniel are too common is a little weird. |

I would eliminate Gregory. He will be called Greg. Fine for the 1970's Brady Bunch but not so much today.
I like the others. |
| Nathan is my all-time favorite boys name |
+1 so vanilla, does it really matter? |
did all those random answers help you decide? great

They're all very nice. I would use James as the middle name. After that, my preference is
Gregory James Daniel James Nathan James isn't great. Maybe Gregory Nathan? I think Gregory is a really nice name, and Greg is fine. |
Sure! It’ll be horrible when Jamie, Jimmy, JayJay and Jim call him Greg. |
|
If you yell "JAMES!" at the playground, you will have at least 10 kids turn and look at you.
I vote for Daniel or Gregory. I like Dan/Danny as a nickname better than Greg though. But I think I'd use Daniel as a full name as much as possible. |
| I like Nathan and Gregory. James and Daniel are just too ubiquitous and boring. |
| Nathaniel would let you call him by three different names: Nathaniel, Nathan, or Nate. It is also less common than Nathan. |
|
Nathan/Nate

These are all classic and I don't think you'd regret any of them. Gregory is a bit less "strong" than the others to my ear.
What sounds best with your last name? What's the middle name? |
+1 for Nathaniel but call him Nate. It's a hot/cool guy name since Nate Archibold in Gossip Girl (heart eyes). Could do without Nathan for some reason but that's just me. |

James
Daniel |

I vote for James.
I was going to say Nathan, but then I pictured you at the playground with the boys and yelling out "BenNate" and it would annoy me that they rolled together (if I was their mom). Just pointing it out. |
