In love with FIL

OP here - I think he loves me too. We haven’t kissed but we have had intimate discussions. Maybe I should talk to my priest.

At least this thread is providing some needed respite from the "I hate my MIL/FIL" threads. Now we just need a guy who falls in love with a dancer MIL and we done for the week

Priest are not trained for this.

Get therapy and stop having him visit.

We’re you molested as a child? Abandoned? Abused?

He’s like your husband, only present. You’re transferring your feelings for absent DH onto him. Tell NO ONE. Get therapy ask DH to stop traveling so much, and if your priest can help keep you from acting on this, go talk to him. This is a disaster scenario OP!

OP here - No, none of the above. I know I’m needy and DH traveling a lot doesn’t help especially when I’m taking care of the kids 24/7.

Agree with above and therapy. You understand the implications for your children, right? How could this work well for them?

Might be a tad awkward explaining why the next baby calls grandpa dad.

??? Priests are totally trained for this. They handle people's problems day in, day out. They were the original version of therapists, but with a heavy overlay of Christian moral code.

That's all right, OP. Just keep it platonic.

This is the top level of crazy. You are not just a little needy. You have serious mental health issues. I don’t know what happened to you but something did this isn’t normal.
