I’m not from Loudoun and even I know that’s not true. It’s because that is no external pull. |
Instead of me trying to name a second loudoun one, can you name one of the FCV champions this weekend first? |
|
Its a showcase. What des that mean t have a champion in a showcase? the teams in one group do not even all play one another.
But in any case, the final verdict is that this was a showcase with very limited opportunities for actual showcasing as there was a tiny fraction of the normal coaches present. But it was well run and the kids enjoyed it. |
The game film is the showcase. College (and club) recruiting will happen whether you’re ready or not. The success of local teams is what parents look at to determine the clubs they will target. Don’t kid yourself in thinking none of it matters. It does. Propaganda |
What game film? Trace? Have you ever seen it? please. |
I notice no Arlington teams past 2008. It’s usually how it tracks. |
Veo. We film every game. |
| They don't allow veo it but I guess clubs do it anyway. |
Who is they. Veo was everywhere at Jeff Cup. Game film is way too important. Especially now |
Aaaaaand you’re a loser. It’s not bragging. You asked a question and the pp responded with a factual answer. |
Again, why are you so vested in belittling Loudoun? You’re obsessed. It’s kinda sad. |
but YOU don't have the film. |
Yes. I do have the film. I have every single game my kid played this year. Every game is uploaded into a online database that we pay collectively to have access to...it’s called spreading the cost. Your club should try it. |
| This whole thread feels like a gotsoccer ranking rant. Are we still this naive about believing leagues matter? Is La Liga better than the Bundesliga, better than the EPL? |
The only poster that presented facts vs opinions has me convinced that leagues do matter and that ECNL is the best girls youth league in the country. Is a league the only thing that matters? No, of course not. But college recruiters and coaches don’t have unlimited time so they need some sort of filter to pick and choose what they pay attention to. League is one of those filters. It is known and it is obvious. Now, will a college recruiter go watch a team that performs poorly in a top league? Likely not unless they know and respect the coach and that coach has recommended a player(s), and even more likely if they are already at an event that has other high quality teams with high quality players. The logistics make it easier. Anyhow, let people rant and pontificate all they want, as this is an open blog site (mostly) and occasionally there are some good nuggets in this sea of unsupported opinions. |
