St. John or harbour island

Op here we have been there twice before. We went for the beautiful beaches and to relax. Loved having a private villa and cooking food there

Can you please stop using the word "villa"? It's obnoxious. You're not going to Tuscany. House is fine. Thanks.

We've been to both. Out of the two, Harbour Island has better beaches and food. For food, we enjoyed:

The Landing
Dunmore
Coral Sands
Sip Sip
Acquapazza (surprisingly better than expected).

Villa is the commonly used term for the rentals on St John. Please educate yourself.

Doesn't make it any less ridiculous.

You come on a travel forum on a family website, insult families and sound obnoxious? Sorry, you know you should just stay home. Enjoy your condo in Tysons.

Big issue with rental cars in St Thomas/St John these days... see if you can find a car for your dates. And the car should NOT be from the airport as many report overbooking and issues standing around waiting for hours. Too many people in the USVI due to Covid restrictions. We are going to Turks, we were going to St John.

Big +1 on the rental car issues. BTDT at the St. Thomas airport. If you are going to go to St. John, better to see if you can find a rental on St. John and take the passenger ferry over. That way if there are issues at least you are on St. John already and can take a taxi until a car is available, vs. stuck at STT.

We were just there and had SO MANY car issues. Seconding the nail down the car first rec. Also even prepaying for your airport car res still doesn’t help, they still made us wait multiple hours.

Well cars aren’t an issue on Harbour Island!

This seriously might be reason enough alone to go there instead!
