Priority zipcode vaccine sign-up in DC

I don't think it is an issue of the system being overwhelmed. It seems it wasnt set up right for today. So frustrating!

Can anyone clarify what "congenital heart disease" is? So many of these are way too broad. Does that include valve deformities that aren't generally very serious? I don't know if that is a risk factor for covid or not and my spouse has one.

My guess is that they didn't update the system properly. Hopefully, they'll get feedback and make the changes for tomorrow.

The phone appointments don't go as fast, so that's worth trying, too.
I've tried twice and got that message both times. Darnit! I'm going to try to phone.

What is the number? I cant find it.

Don't bother I just tried, got a message saying higher than average call volume, and was immediately disconnected.

No, it is right. Medical conditions 16-64 are eligible today (priority zip codes only). The system might be overwhelmed right now.

It looks like they haven’t updated something in the system. When you get to the end of registering, it tells you that you aren’t eligible. I bet they will fix it later today, but the appointments will be gone.

A bunch of threads on Twitter suggest that the site wasn't updated properly for pre-existing conditions. People are getting the same thank you but no appointments. Apparently the 65+ crowd can see and book appointments.

I'm in a priority zip and have a prioritzed health condition (pregnancy) and have gotten through twice. Both times I'm told I need to be 65+ or in a qualified workplace setting. Very frustrating.

Same. Guess I'll keep checking periodically throughout the day to see if they fix it. I'm sure the appointment will be gone quickly though, so it'll just be sheer luck f I happen to check at the right time.

Also, sheesh "neurologic conditions"? That includes migraines.

Same. I am really hoping to get vaccinated before my late-April due date. I'm terrified of getting sick while delivering and being separated from my baby.

There are probably five people in DC who are not now eligible.

I just got through on the number. I think I pressed the wrong number but I'm not hanging up. I think I was supposed to press 2 as someone with a qualifying health condition, but I pressed 1(for those in the workforce or 65 and older). I'm on hold but will update if I'm successful or not.

The website just updated, no appointments available. I guess we'll try again tomorrow. I'm the poster who got through on the phone. I'm still on hold on the phone.

If there’s only five than my household accounts for 60% of them! Happy to see you all getting vaccinated though and will continue to hunker down. Maybe by the time I am eligible they will have sorted out the website! Silver linings
