It's a small town, population 4000 in the 2010 census. If his neighbors told him to resign, he would. |
No He quit. The bigger issue is that an idiot like this was elected in the first place and if you think he is just one in a million you are delusional. |
What? It is 100% on brand for Republicans. |
Mmmmm... yes, and no. He's extreme sure but the point of this thread rings true - he said the part out loud that too many conservatives seem to keep inside. We don't owe you anything, so just go DIE already. No food? No water? No heat? No healthcare? I'm not having those problems so it's not my problem. The rest of you can sink or swim. He also hits the high notes of God and Socialism. Surprised somehow he avoided demonizing immigrants and Muslims in his verbal diarrhea. He vomited up what many of his ilk really think and believe but are usually too self aware to say out loud. Just own it. |
You only pay for the electricity you’ve already used. If your power is out, you’re not using any, and therefore not paying for it. |
This. His constituents knew what he believed. They just didn't CARE until infrastructure collapsed. Then they got mad. This is why I became a prepper when Trump was elected. His supporters don't care about facts. Society cannot stand when people just believe whatever their feelings tell them. |
This thread.
Have you ever met anyone from Texas? They're not monsters. Can you guys stop listening to each other and turn your brains on? |
This is DCUM. That’s way too big a lift. |
The electricity you used, plus a lot of add-on fees for big profits. |
I have, several people. Their obsession with TEXAS is annoying, for one thing. That their state keeps electing these horrible people is deeply offensive. I think you’ll go blue at some point; but probably not soon enough. |
That's socialism! |
Yes, my husband, who agrees with all the criticism of Republicans in Texas. |
But unelecting these horrible people doesn't even register. Apparently. |
Many utilities effectively have a government protected monopoly and don't pay federal income tax. It's really very silly to pretend that electricity is a good you purchase on the free market. |
Lol A small town in west Texas? Probably everyone in the town is Republican. And they didn't stand for that guy's nonsense. |
