LOL. We are definitely NOT rushing this. We will be returning, in hybrid model, with vaccinated teachers almost ONE YEAR after the last day of in-person school, 3/11/20. |
That's still 35,000 students and they matter too. |
They should only go back if the positivity Rate is below 10% |
Thankfully the board no longer agrees with you. All they are debating now is the date. Its happening. |
If it was him that makes complete sense. That dude is off . |
By 3/3 it should be. I’m a teacher. I did some math based on the average PCR drop rate and by 3/1 it has us under 10% for 5 days if the drop rate holds. My calculation had today at 15.1% and it was, so it’s holding. Cases are high for sure but only one has to drop per the metrics so even if they do away with them, 3/3 should have been in that range anyway. |
For the record, it is safe. https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/cdc-school-virus-spread/2021/01/26/bf949222-5fe6-11eb-9061-07abcc1f9229_story.html |
+1. This. These kids have been sitting with cameras off and communicating using the chat function and not their voice for a year. They are regressing in this area. And speaking to the school board is real tough under normal circumstances. |
Oh come on. They have not spent a year not talking, that’s a bit much to claim |
Lets hope Morse or Serotkin motion to suspend the rules to vote. |
Vote to RTS? |
I was under the impression they were voting tonight ? |
They will have to suspend the rules first since its not an "action item" on the agenda. Suspending the rules takes 2/3, whereas voting on return to school is a simple majority. Otherwise someone (likely Ian or Jeff) will announce tonight that it will be an action item at the meeting in two weeks. Won't change the date, just the date of the vote. |
Rushing this? ![]() |
they will |
