Imagine if you will... a group of people deciding virtually to send teacher to germ camps in person. Joke tells itself.

We are. This Friday we’re getting both lump sum for the period between august and December and the new step increase starting this end of January until end of may.

U mad?

I'm mad a teacher can't spell "you."

To both PPs, please don't hijack this thread.

I teach AP English. And I’m taking off tomorrow just because.

Not happening today. Be happy they’re sending teachers to the daily Russian roulette with the rona on the first week of March

If there are any grown ups left in this thread, the board members sound like they are going to defer voting, not because they don't want to reopen schools but because the staff told them they can defer voting until next week and still implement the switch to hybrid learning by the dates they're proposing.

Again we can’t rush this! What’s the point of rushing this?
What’s the point of rushing life ?

Only 40% students want hybrid learning
60% don’t so let’s listen to the votes

Nah, we want to screw teachers and students. Democracy? LoL we have a president who said he implemented the biggest voter fraud system in history. Go figure.

The start date will be the same regardless. And stop saying this. 35,000+ kids want to be in school, and they matter too.

This thread is about the school board discussion, not to rehash the same discussion that has been going on in multiple threads for the past many months. If you aren't watching the meeting and want to discuss the particulars of their discussion, find one of the many other threads within which to argue your point.

I wish they would still vote tonight. I don't see any point in waiting.
Anonymous
please stop feeding the political troll on this thread. he/she has been posting things like this all over the forum, just looking for an argument and rehashing the same points.

PP needs to come up with a point first.
