| OP here. I worked out lightly after this post. I walked ten minutes on the treadmill and lifted weights for 15 and stretched for 5. That’s enough, right? I don’t want to feel like I need to wash my hair. I don’t have time to work, have two kids at home, exercise and wash my hair. |
I wake up early, work out, shower, and then work. Lifting weights for 15 is pretty good. Try to up your walking to 20-30 minutes with some hills or fast intervals to get your heart rate up. |
| You are hurting yourself by not exercising. This is something you absolutely must make time for just like you make time to brush your teeth, get dressed, shower, etc. sorry, but I don’t believe you that you don’t have time. I hate to use this term, but straight up, you don’t want to exercise because you don’t want to make the effort— you are lazy. Period. |
| I can’t figure it out, but I didn’t start losing weight until I quit my daily exercise. Now it’s every other day. My theory is that it increased my appetite more than it offset the calories. |
So don’t wash your hair. Are you for real? |

There is actually research that shows that women are more likely than men to eat back their exercise calories, particularly when the exercise of choice is cardio. Exercise is valuable but you still need to track calories when you are trying to lose weight. |
Either work out first thing in the morning and wash your hair right after or do strength training. I never wash my hair after lifting as there is no good reason to do so. If you have limited time just focus on lifting, as that is what will help you maintain lean mass when dieting. |
| OP - not only is it possible, it's more likely |
