Am I the only one who dislikes Christmas posts on social media?

I love them. Not of the presents, but of the people and activities.

I love them . I love seeing what my friends kids got for Christmas.

Maybe because my IG is entirely family and a few friends (about 30 followers) that I can't go to visit this year, but it's nice to see pictures. I miss everyone. It's great to get a glimpse of their holiday.

Personally I share photos so the quarantined grandparents and aunts and uncles can see. Video chatting is chaotic at best with little kids, so it's nice to share some saner moments.

Guess what? You won’t like everything on social media just like you won’t love every food or movie or TV show. Just keep moving. Why complain?

Haha! That’s funny.

Diagree!!! They’re my favorite posts. I love see everyone’s trees and stash of gifts & pajamas

I love them! So much better than a thousand photograph cards you don’t know what to do with. (I always felt weird throwing out pictures of anyone’s children).

I usually post our holiday picture, and pictures of the kids on their jammies on Christmas Eve. I don’t post present or gift opening pictures tho.

I think they’re sweet and enjoy seeing any happiness at all these days.

I don't celebrate Christmas and my kids get crap all year long and no I don't care.

I ordinarily like them, but I quit Facebook/Instagram this year so am not seeing them for the first time in a while. And it’s kind of nice! I enjoyed seeing inside the holiday celebrations of friends and family in previous years, but it was really nice this year to just feel present in our own, and not feel compelled to share or drawn to looking through other people’s posts. It feels oddly retro, but in a good way.

Yup. I like seeing them.

I don't have money or the ability to travel, so it is hard for me to see pictures of people taking trips or even camping. I'm just jealous as heck. But I don't mind seeing their Christmases at home at all.

I don't really have an opinion either way, but I always like or love everyone's posts. They are reaching out, nothing wrong with that.

Happy Xmas everyone!

Normally I don’t care much about social media but in 2020 I am glad to have it as it helps keep me up to date and connected with everyone. We need all the holiday cheer we can get OP.

I love posts like that. But I’m on social media to keep up with people I don’t see — family that we only see every once in a while (and not at all this year due to COVID), friends from high school and college, friends who’ve moved away, etc. This is how I get to see how their holiday was, how much the kids have grown. If you don’t care about how your friends and families’ holidays were, I guess don’t look.
