occasional glass of wine

I kind of feel like you’re pot stirring because you cite twice in your post the third tri and specify you’re out of your first tri. Occasional glass after first tri is fine but this thread will just turn into a horrible fight within three pages

Yeah, this is not the right place to discuss. Turns real nasty really quick.

If this is a real post, 1 glass did not cause the LD. Don't blame yourself for this

Read Expecting Better as she runs through the research. After first tri, a glass a week is fine if you really want one. Just don’t binge drink and not during first tri.

I had a glass of wine maybe 3-4 times while I was pregnant and had a glass of champagne when I was about 8 months at a close friend’s wedding. Kid is fine.

I drank 2 ounces of Red wine each night with dinner for both my pregnancies. Smart kids with no issues.

Really not trying to stir the pot. I know some women will not have a sip, which I understand. I also know many women will have an occasional glass of wine and was just trying to get a pulse from those who do.

I genuinely couldn’t remember when I had wine previously, and it wasn’t a lot.

With thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, I was thinking of having a small glass.

I’ve read expecting better and agree it’s great. I just have no clue where it is right now!

I didn't have any with my first just because I didn't want to.

I'm not a big drinker in general, but I've really really been craving a craft beer so I may have a small glass soon. I'm 26 weeks now.

Alcohol is a teratogen.

Why risk it?

If you do, I wonder if you worry about other teratogens? Truly curious.

Definitely a real post. I try not to blame myself but the reality is there is no way to prove it did or did not cause the issue.

I had a half glass of wine or champagne maybe three times during last month of pregnancy.

I had a just a few sips here and there after my 1st trimester. I was too nervous to have any more than that. Even as I got near the end third trimester and everything I read said a glass of wine is fine at that point, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. And I love wine. I felt like if I made it that far, what’s another few weeks?

I abstained from alcohol and caffeine. I tend to worry even under the best of circumstances so I didn’t want to risk anything.

No alcohol at all for me, although I typically like a glass of wine with meals. Did stick with my morning coffee, though.

Drank up to 2 servings per 1 hr period. Pretty often. I was going through a bad time. I feel terrible but- My child does not have fas or other difficulties. My first I drank less often- 1 to 2 times a week max and 1 serving at a time. Shes good.

Both children I took dabs or other forms of thc daily.

Both are super smart and beautiful.

Heavy drinkers have a 3% chance that their baby will have FAS.
Your ocassional drink is alright.
