| Can you remove those horrendous ads at the bottom of every page? They're gigantic! |
Have you read this thread? |
Thanks Jeff. I get that ads are a necessary evil. Maybe I’ll even click on one once in a while for you
|
There’s one I keep getting that’s a close up of teeth so big I think they are boobs!
|
lol yes, I have. Why are these particular ads so huge, though? I mean, they're basically their own page. "45 year-old man rebuilt his gums overnight after chewing this weird bubble gum." People are really going to click this? |
I suspect Samsung devices are displaying the ads differently than iOS devices. The ads are pretty normal on a Mac and iPad. On my iPhone they are large but not that obnoxious. But lots of Samsung users are complaining. Could you make a screen capture to show what they look like? |
I get the same. I usually scroll fast to the bottom to see what's the latest. This looks like what junky "news" sites have. Like the examiner. Yuck. I'm not sure how to share a screenshot here, but its a stack of 4 vertical ads that together take up the whole phone screen. |
| Not a fan. Very distracting. Especially the teeth. |
|
| Mine look just like the previous posters. If you accidentally scroll more than 50% down the screen (iPhone) you get disgusting huge pictures. Really offputting. |
I’m on an iPhone 11 and can confirm that my ads look like this person’s ads. They take up the entire screen. Is there a way to make them so they’re not so large? |
| Same on android |
| Are you planning to at least minimize these huge ads? |
I am having discussions about this with the ad network. The issue is that we don't have a mobile website design. So those of you using phones are getting the same design as desktop users. The ads are sized for desktop users. They are not sure what the best strategy to fix this would be. So far, the ads are not performing anywhere close to what was promised in terms of revenue. So, unless things change, it will not be worth keeping them at all. |
Thank you for looking into it. Is there a way you/they could at least change the nature of the ads? At least on my end it is very political with unfortunately a lot of smiling Trump pictures. Sometimes I get weird teeth and wrinkled leggs. DCUM might not be the right demographics for what they’re trying to get us to click on. Maybe food, fashion or history ads would work better. Just a suggestion and I’m sorry that the ads aren’t working out for you. |
