Can Congress object to Trump nominating ACB in his diminished capacity?

Well, she was around Trump and Hicks without a mask. I don't see how the hearings can go forward. She needs to go into a 14-day quarantine.

Anyone think it will be stalled out now?

Oh, FFS. He nominated her a couple weeks ago. Keep dreaming.
This thread is pure desperation. And, it actually made me laugh that someone can be this desperate and this ignorant.

Simple.

Sure. Totally ignore the fact that her name is on the list he released 4 years ago.
Keep grasping for those straws, though.

Perhaps a group brings a lawsuit in federal court alleging along the lines of OP’s thoughts and the court temporarily freezes the confirmation process while it considers the matter?

He intended to nominate her weeks ago. She is a well qualified candidate. The Republican Senate will confirm her period. No way it stops it. Also no rules saying you can’t make decisions while having Covid.

Lastly he tested negative prior to the Debate on Tuesday.

He announced ACB on Saturday, to 3 days prior to that test.

But what about the unknown effects of COVID-19? We don't know everything about it, so shouldn't we take every possible precaution?

Again:

He was tested before the Debate on Tuesday, He was negative.

He chose ACB the Saturday, 3 days before the debate. So he was negative on Daturday when he chose her. He must have caught it on Wednesday or Thursday.

So when he chose Her, he was negative. So it does not matter if he is positive now. The Senate has the role now to confirm her as he has done his job to pick her. Now it’s up to the senate. Even if Trump dies tomorrow, the Senate can still confirm her.

If Drumpf were to die tomorrow, humans would decide to postpone at least the confirmation hearings. However, Moscow Mitch has never shown any signs of being human.

A list from 4 years ago? Who's the one grasping at straws.

Everybody knows it takes two weeks for the symptoms to show up. Drumpf is showing symptoms today which means he picked it up two weeks ago.

Sorry for your butthurtedness.

I am not hoping for the death of anyone. However, in spitballing how this could impact ACB.

ACB contract Covid, gets sick and the hearings are delayed substantially.

Trump dies of Covid in November/December after losing the election and the Democrats take back the Senate in the election, including the MCSally set which transfer immediately after the election.

Pence is now President and he has to do a new nomination.

What happens then.

Hey if the last four years have taught me anything - it’s to think like a Republican. Always kick your opponent when they’re down, take advantage of every opportunity and keep lawyers on speed dial.

No SCOTUS for the GOP is what happens.
