Ford is better than Chevy!

They are both terrible. I really can’t understand how anyone would buy either if it’s not a truck.

Tom Cruise, definitely a screen legend, drove a Chevy Monte Carlo race car in “Days of Thunder”.

yeh but ford did't build the gt40

the exterior and chassis were built by lola, and modified by shelby...

Lola built chassis for all kinds of race cars. That means nothing.

Which engine was in the car?

How many Ford and Chevy cars have you owned and/or driven? Trying to understand where you came to possess such in-depth knowledge so as to be able to make such a blanket statement.

Or did you just read it somewhere and decide it was gospel?

A real car like what? A BMW? A car that will be essentially worthless in 15 years because the cost of fixing anything will exceed the KBB value of the car?

Yeah, no thanks. I learned this the hard way. Took a perfectly good 2004 BMW 760iL with 86,000mi to the scrap yard a couple years ago because it needed a dashboard wiring harness because of water damage from a parking garage sprinkler system (sun roof and windows were down). The cost of a wiring harness for a 760? FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.

I drive an Avalon now. Every bit as nice and smooth as the BMW ever was. Not as fast, but what difference does that make when the highest speed limit with 1,000 miles is 75?

You can keep your “real” cars. I’m fine with toys. At least they can be repaired.

Jesus, adults are really posting this crap?

Somewhere a turnip truck is missing its cargo.

So witty.

You must read The New Yorker.

1986 Taurus
1988 Escort
1997 Blazer - the biggest piece of crap ever invented. Had a dead battery a few times a year from the beginning that Chevy could never figure out
2001 GMC Sierra

Learned my lesson. These were family cars. I drove Toyota and Hondas until I could afford German.

For those who had bad experience with both in the past -- I get it. They were inferior up until about 2010. But from then on, and especially now, they have learned their lessons are are just as good as the imports.

I get it that people have no reason to go back to them from the Hondas and Toyotas and Subarus, but if a domestic model does catch your eye, I encourage you to take a look.

I’d like you to take a drive in my fully loaded Lincoln Corsair and then tell me it’s like vomit or poop.

I'm PP to whom you responded. We had a Lincoln for years. Never again.

We have a Ford and had a Chevy. The Chevy was horrible and unreliable and felt like a death trap. Our Ford is 20 years old and we've put very little money into it. The Chevy we put a fortune into before getting rid of it. Never again for Chevy.

I currently drive a Ford Edge - my first departure from driving Toyotas. It’s a piece of crap with constant problems, uncomfortable to drive, never again.

Eww. Ugly car.

Sorry you can’t afford it.

It's a 38k car? A Toyota Highlander costs more. And the Highlander doesn't become worthless after 4 years.

1. I said fully loaded. $47K.

2. All cars lose value year over year. Toyotas are awful.
