Took a perfectly good 2004 BMW 760iL with 86,000mi to the scrap yard a couple years ago because it needed a dashboard wiring harness because of water damage from a parking garage sprinkler system (sun roof and windows were down). The cost of a wiring harness for a 760? FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. I drive an Avalon now. Every bit as nice and smooth as the BMW ever was. Not as fast, but what difference does that make when the highest speed limit with 1,000 miles is 75? You can keep your “real” cars. I’m fine with toys. At least they can be repaired. [/quote]
