Go for it! Happiness, love, a family, children.. it's nothing to turn your nose up at when it presents itself to you.

Thank you for being kind and not attacking me. Going to text him and tell him to come over tonight, even though I told him previously I was busy.

Your kids will be your best friends half-siblings and same age as his grandkids...her kids.

You want to have kids with a guy who sees his DD's friends as dating material? Ew, you're going to be the house that none of her friends want to visit.

Based on DCUM reactions, I don't think your "friend" will take the news well. It doesn't matter anyway because you don't care.

So, just do it and get it over already. We don't care.

He would be, what? 75ish at High School Graduation? You definitely are going to have trouble making Mom friends with this kind of age divide. People will talk.

None of that has been presented though. Don't turn into a 30-something woman who thinks every dork who makes eye contact is her chance to quit her job and live Happily Ever After.

The weird part to me is that you connected with this guy more than 6 months ago and have yet to say anything to your friend about it, I assume he hasn't either? Maybe you and he should have that discussion? Because if you do get together with him the longer you kept it secret the more problematic it becomes.

Look at you responding to this post as if it's a real thing. I applaud your efforts.

Someone keeps posting threads with very similar themes - am beginning to think this is a troll or someone sock puppeting.
