I don't know much about him but I'd say about 90% of candidate signs in my Ward 4 neighborhood are for Marcus Goodwin.

Almost like big money is betting on him 🤔

What is Goodwin's story, beyond being a developer? I feel like I've seen his name on various yard signs for years in the last few elections. What stopped him from winning before?

So what exactly would those sweet deals be?

I’ll wait.

Point is the council is economically illiterate and that’s the reason why we lose on a national and local level. Lazere is a self proclaimed expert with no ideas who brings nothing to the council except a legacy of paper cuts and the ability to change the toner on the copy machine.

I will be voting for Mónica Palacio:

https://www.monicafordc.com/

She is sharp and compassionate, and would be the first Latina on the DC council, which is a long time coming.

A no-bid contract, a thumb on the scales for a competitive bid. It's why developers and their buddies contribute big time to the green team. Do you not remember Fenty? It's part of why things like school modernizations cost so much more than in other parts of the country.

Do you really not know how much pay to play goes on in our city??

You sound desperate.

Trayon White has more than a few offensive, and downright embarrassing statements. He has not been a "fine council member" in any respect.

That said, I'm sure he'll win.

I'm supporting Christina Henderson and Ed Lazere.

I sat on a call with Marcus Goodwin. I did NOT like him. He seemed too young and inexperienced. He didn't really know what he was talking about. Not impressed. I know lots of folks in my Ward 4 neighborhood are supporting him. He must be in with the Mayor. It seems like they follow whatever she wants.

Marcus is a local success story, grad of Harvard and UPenn, that you'd think would be championed by the residents of DC except he has real world experience as a developer. For some reason real world experience and the ability to actually read a balance sheet is somehow a liability on the council that loves to lose when it comes to contracts and housing.

I'm really not trying to take anything away from the young man. He seems bright. However, nothing about him says experience. I've listened. He's not ready.

Please don't let Vincent Orange win again. God, doesn't he have something else he can do?

I'm the Ward 4 PP that also is seeing a lot of signs for him. I wonder about this. It does seem many homes that had Todd signs now have his signs.

If I voted for Janeese Lewis George, who among the at-large candidates should get my vote? I like Robert White well enough. I haven't looked into the other candidates' resumes yet.

You sound like the kind of person who would tout Trump's real world business experience. It's just dumb.

Janeese endorsed Ed Lazere and Robert White FWIW

PP here, thanks! I'll look more into Lazere (I heard him him call into the Kojo show a few weeks ago and he seemed reasonable, but need to look at his resume).

I talked to him once and he was really knowledgeable on the issues - very deep understanding and I believe he's ethical too.

Not as charismatic as Janeese, but I could see him being a force for good in the council.
