Most places have said they have to contact the cdc first to see the proper protocol of who to alert, who to quarantine, etc. Possibly this was the case on a Friday?

County provides guidance on quarantine. And the club’s actions weren’t good enough for me.

How is she sure if they did not test? Did both girls not test or one did and one chose not to?

I didn;t test either, but I'm pretty sure I actually had it three times myself. The first time I had a headache which lasted more than two hours. The second time I had a sore throat when I woke up in the morning which lasted until after breakfast. The third time was the worst though because I had difficulty breathing although it's possible that was caused by the plastic bag I put over my head to make sure I was safe while I was watching a soccer game. the really annoying thing was that not only did I have serious difficulty breathing but I couldn't see the soccer game either. Still - after getting it three times - I figure I should be fully immune now.

Lol. I knew where this was going after the first sentence.

Hey OP. Sorry you're getting such unhelpful responses. I don't know of any cases within my child's small NoVa club. They don't play any MD teams, so which team doesn't matter. I share your concerns about playing teams out of our vicinity. Particularly Richmond. Good luck.

We had at least one positive in our club. I think that was beginning of August.

Probably because the answer has no bearing on the situation op describes.

Team A VA team can have a positive case today and none for the remainder of the year.

Team B could have had none so far, and have 10 positives this Saturday.

Team a cases are not a prediction of team b, choosing which team to play based off of this doesnt hold alot of merit.

Then you should withdraw your DC from the club.

MD United 07 and 08 encl teams aren’t playing this weekend due to a COVID incident. Not sure if it’s a player or family member.

Girls, boys, or both?

Nobody respects anybody’s privacy here - we are seeing too much gossip about serious things from anonymous posters about kids. It is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourselves. The clubs will handle it. All you are doing is casting a pall over everybody on these teams whether they have the misfortune to have the virus or not. You won’t adjust your behavior based on anything you hear because the clubs and teams will do so. And if you don’t believe they will, and are this frightened, then your kid should not be playing. Stop this nonsense, respect the process, or get out of travel soccer. People will simply start posting lies about individuals clubs and teams if we abide this behavior from anonymous posters .
