Chadwick Boseman, lead actor of Black Panther, has died

I cannot even wrap my mind around the fact that he was sick during Black Panther and it never came out. And then all the hemming and hawing about a sequel. Did he secretly film his parts for a sequel? Will there even be one? This is a celebrity death that really hits hard.

Disney needs to rename a production studio after him. Or a park - the Black Panther park. This is just too much.

I can't even imagine. He was so sick all 2019 I doubt they filmed Black Panther 2. He was already in Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War.

I’m shocked! I had no idea he was battling cancer and had been for years. Poor guy. Prayers up to his family.

A very sad loss. I’m going to try to put out extra positivity and love in his memory.

I'm not sure I even want to see a sequel without Chadwick Boseman. I'm sure they'll try to rewrite it to focus on Shuri and the Dora Milaje. If so, I hope they take a good long time and not try to rush anything through production, even if it takes years after the end of COVID. I want a female-led Black Panther 2 to be EPIC.

If Michael B. Jordan's character hadn't died in such a epic way - they could refocus the second film on him.

From a production standpoint though, the lead actor of Spartacus for two seasons also died of cancer, they recast the role in season 3. I'm sure Disney will make sure the film is as epic as the first, if only so they can take home another multi-billion dollar box office, but I sincerely hope they find a way to permanently honor Chadwick Boseman somehow.

This makes me really sad. This is how we know we are all the same. He is black. I am white. It just does not matter. He died of cancer. I am fighting cancer. We are all humans. All this political fighting and racist fighting - enough. I loved his movies. Black Panther was amazing. The movie was inspiring! Just be a good human being! Treat people with dignity and respect. RIP Black Panther and thank you for inspiring the good in people.

How shocking and sad. It leaves you without words. It’s difficult to process he struggled with colon cancer for four years and kept it within his small circle. Really sad.
