How is this Dr at CFA? also how is the office?

Honestly, CFA is awful. Nothing is online (in theory, they have a patient portal but none of my info has ever been posted there), no one answers the phone, every appt is stressful, there is no information, no communication... I waited 2 months to receive information from the financial counselor, even after having 3 visits and explaining to the dr that the financial team hadn't been helpful and had told me they needed more info... one time I showed up for an appt and they seemed surprised that I was there... and it turned out they hadn't explained to me the prep protocol for my test.... We were amazed when the next place we met with was able to get back to us w/in 48 hours with the estimated costs and provided a list of information for us to guide us through what to expect... On top of that... the COVID protocols at CFA are non existent... every time I've gone there, the lobby is packed and the seats are definitely not 6 feet apart, they're not even pretending they're sanitizing... the last time I was there, there were quite a few people sitting in the lobby with masks around their chins... one woman standing close to me got into a heated argument with the staff about her bills! It was intense. They also expect you to share pens for paperwork and the hand sanitizer was out of liquid, etc... Bottom line: we're not going back.

Dr Sacks is amazing. Talked me out of a more invasive/more expensive procedure and was right.

CFA has grown on me since I’ve been there for so long now (unfortunately) but they are MESSY. No one ever answers the phone (get your nurses email address!!). Billing is so random ... I get a random number every time (I think they usually under-bill me so I don’t ask too many questions).

It seems like they read this forum because recently I noticed they have a used pen cup so no one shares pens and the nurses have been better about wearing their masks.

I do like the doctors and NPs and they are willing to work with your needs and preferences so much more than other clinics so imo it’s worth it, but that’s a very personal decision.

Agree. Dr. Sacks was willing to work w/ me around my work schedule when other places were not at all. SG seemed to think that if I wanted a baby, I should just be able to quit my job. (And we're just talking about a few hours here or there or moving an appointment by 1 day.) I owe 3 kids to Dr. Sachs -- who also talked me out of IVF/into a less expensive IUI w/ a different protocol for #1 -- so I'm a bit biased.
