You’re just making this up. Case search doesn’t show the amount of child support. I defy anyone to provide a link to any case on maryland case search that shows the amount of child support.

I'm not the PP and I know of a Prince Georges County child support case with the amount of child support posted. I won't give the case to protect the parties. MD case search does list amounts in some cases. I have not seen the amount posted for Montgomery County.

I've seen hundreds of divorce cases on case search and never once seen a dollar amount associated with any case.

I won't post the name as it's someone I know, but I just looked it up in MD case search. This is MoCo. I've removed identifying details:

Docket Date: xx/xx/2010 Docket Number: 28
Docket Description: ORDER, CONSENT
Docket Type: Docket Filed By: Court
Docket Text: CONSENT CUSTODY AND CHILD SUPPORT ORDER (XX.) THAT PARTIES SHALL SHARE JOINT LEGAL CUSTODY OF THE MINOR CHILDREN, THAT MINOR CHILDREN SHALL RESIDE PRIMARILY WITH THE PLAINTIFF IN HER HOME IN VIRGINIA WITH ACCESS GRANTED TO THE DEFENDANT, THAT DEFENDANT SHALL PAY CHILD SUPPORT IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,000.00 PER MONTH, ENTERED. (COPIES MAILED)

Enough posters have responded to the contrary of the pp. There should be a petition created to force the state of Maryland to modify searchable information. No one has a right to know how much someone receives in child support. Nor do they have the right to know the outcome of DNA paternity test results, which is also posted...

Even when you pay the the traffic tickets instead of going to court, your name and case show up there for 3 years. At least in MoCo.

OP here. It's not inaccurate. I did file that my ex sexually assaulted me. This was in public too. I didn't know it would follow me around for the rest of my life. If I had, I wouldn't have pressed charges. This is what I was just told -

"Our managing attorney reviewed your application and confirmed that there is nothing you can do to get your name removed from Case Search. The case is eligible for an expungement if (ex boyfriend) wants to file for it."

I disagree. I need this information for my work. I'm a journalist, a private investigator some months, and other months I'm just doing background check on a potential boyfriend or people my friends' are dating. If anything comes up as a flag, I will go to the courthouse and get the public records myself.

Most people don't know how to look at MD Case Search. Other states, you need way more information, even if you can get the public records without being in person.

It does. I am not the pp listed above, but my child support is on there.

What I would do is contact your local state representative and explain the situation. Ask them to introduce legislation that allows your name to be struck from the online databse, but not the public information that's stored with the clerk.

Op here. I was thinking about doing this. How sad for the people seriously assaulted who are afraid to have this attached to them. I’d second guess reporting if it happened again.

I am the above PP. I agree with you. I didn't really think about it now. There's no shame in being a victim. Nothing that happened was your fault.

Additionally, I was raped by someone and they spent a lot of money to get the case thrown out and the protective order squashed. Only to have them immediately spend a lot of money to have both stricken from case search and their record. I called and called and emailed the state's attorney for PG and emailed them. But no one responded. I did not want these expunged. I wanted to be a witness as a victim at these expungement hearings. I couldn't find the dates online. I just watched them disappear with no help. No return phone calls. No return emails. From the people who are supposed to be protecting us.

However, the jerk who raped me hired a lawyer and in the process found my case search and my divorce proceedings. He hired my ex-husband's lawyer. And he had access to every single detail of my life in the past 10 years. Including my maiden name, which he never knew until this. Case search and public records screwed me here.

He was so violent. I wanted the man who raped me to always have this come up on his criminal history, even if it was dismissed or whatever. I don't even have that. I would have let my name stay there just so it was a warning to other hiring folks and women. He was a high school sub teacher at the time.

Talk to a lawyer. Ask ex to get it removed if you speak to him.

There are a lot of 'he's a jerk' type websites where you can post a photo and warn other women, just FYI so you can get it out there somehow.

OP I am truly sorry. I would not think this was legal if you hadn't stated it here. I hope there is some pro-bono legal help you could get with this.

I don't want ex to get this off HIS record. The world should know who he is. And he was my bf in high school and college. I'm happily married with kids and I have no desire to talk to him.

Thank you, I left a message with an attorney at a public resource but I don't know if I'll qualify for pro bono help. I also contacted my representative who I hope will help.
