LOL +1 Probably bible Beltway bandits Signed, someone who grew up around bible Beltway bandits |
Actually, the country was mostly based on English common law and they looked to Greek and Roman republics. They didn't look to the bible when founding the country. Additionally, most of the founding fathers were actually Deists/Humanists, a notable exception being Adams who was pretty much a fundamentalist Christian. You've been brainwashed by right-wing media with lies. https://study.com/academy/lesson/deism-the-founding-fathers-definition-beliefs-quiz.html https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2017/06/28/how-benjamin-franklin-a-deist-became-the-founding-father-of-a-unique-kind-of-american-faith/ https://www.mshumanists.org/blog/2018/12/31/a-christian-nation-not-so-according-to-these-founding-fathers And of course there's the famous Jefferson Bible where he removed all the miracles and other pseudo-scientific supernatural non-sense. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/how-thomas-jefferson-created-his-own-bible-5659505/

oh wow, that's alot. Of course it's only 1/4 the following this guys has. Maybe one day Ben can be big like him. |
Hi there! I love Ben Shapiro, he is smart and calls the ignorant for what they are. Great podcast, great show. |
| In the ongoing attempt to keep my kids from turning into loony-tune leftists at the hands of their "education," I find people like Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh and Dennis Prager to be very helpful. They know how to present material to appeal to teens and are smart enough to shut down any liberal/ leftist position. |
| Very few. His popularity is fake, it's called astroturfing. Bots and paid accounts spam his content. He's an oligarch toady. |
| There's no way any living breathing human can listen to his grating weasel voice for more than 5 minutes let alone 3 hours a day.Fake views, fake shares, fake downloads. Fake fake fake. |
| I like Ben Shapiro. I don't care for his speaking voice, but I like what he says. No question, he is very intelligent. |
| All this Ben Shapiro talk reminds me of Jordan Peterson. What happened to that guy? |
I don't know anything about Ben Shapiro, but this is colossally stupid. Marriage is a legal contract; the religious aspect is just an extra function for some of the population. |
Marriage is an institution created and ordained by God, so Shapiro is right about that. That it has become a legal contract is also true, but that is not what it is at the core. |
I actually agree with this. I also think the argument is as sensible as arguing over how the exact same word is translated across 10 different languages. Sure, there may be discrepancy in specific application, but in general - we all get the gist. 😎 |
I assure you, marriage was around in a lot of cultures long before your bible came to them. |
You think there was no God until the Bible? |
If that's true, then we should not have Established marriage in State and Federal law, since that violates the Constitution. |
