The months-long wait for the drivers license road test is unacceptable

And most importantly, people HAVE LOST THEIR DAMN MINDS.

Even if paying for a third-party road test, there is still a 3-4 months long wait to take the road test. Is nobody at the DMV creative enough to solve this problem. My DS will need his license to get to school and his job beginning early Sept and there is literally nothing to be done about the fact that the earliest he can get in, and that's if he pays $80, is Sept. 15. The DC government is a complete joke at this point.

Just buy your kid a Tesla with self-drive mode. Problem solved.

Don’t forget a Biden 2020 bumper sticker!

Are you saying that if the OP pays a lot in taxes they should get more than people who pay less? Perhaps we could have a separate line at the DMV for rich folks.

If he’s a smart kid who isn’t too spoiled, he’ll figure it out. Have faith.

Public Health, my fanny.

These people need to get back to work.

You should ask to speak to the manager of the DMV. This is not acceptable!

Help me understand when we have record high unemployment why the DMV can't staff its service centers and road tests. Today they just announced the indefinite closure of the Rhode Island Service Center claiming a staff shortage. There are thousands and thousands of people around here applying for unemployment. Why on earth can they not staff their centers? There is basically no more government running DC, just the banana republic ruining everybody's lives until the election. DC voters, you should demand more from this from the people you are electing.

There are no staff showing up, but I bet the DC govt payroll has not shrunk.

Bowser is delighted to keep paying everyone to do nothing.

Completely agree.

FYI, For those of you who live in Ward 3, I have had a lot of success over the years in bringing things like this to Mary Cheh's attention. Not that she can necessarily do anything, but she does give thoughtful responses and her staff picks up on comments like this and will get to work. Highly suggest that we all contact her office and raise this issue. Not saying that other council members would not be helpful; she is the only one I have experience with.

People who expect zero inconvenience during a pandemic are ridiculous.

So are people who continue to pay high dollar property tax bills and accept little to no service in return, all in the name of supporting government bureaucrats who have discovered that they like not working every day.

And your son is more important than all the people lined up ahead of him because why? And how did he get to school all these years up until now? Get over yourself, you and he are not that special. Wait in line like everybody else.

OP, you are disgusting. I am SO sorry your little snowflake has been inconvenienced during a pandemic.

Is junior returning to school soon? Or will he be sitting this year out?

OR will you hire a governess???
