coaches contact info

This went way off the rails, and quickly........

Send your coach an email, and ask him for a phone call if you want to speak. I have rarely seen a coach unwilling to have a conversation.

No, but you have the teachers work email. You have an email and a way to communicate directly. Some clubs provide club email addresses.

Why does a volunteer team manager have to provide their personal email address and act like a gate keeper regarding player questions? Their role is to provide team based information and not act as the coaches receptionist.

The coach is paid and should be at the parents disposal.

You have a deranged level of entitlement. WTF is wrong with you?

This happened to us as well. While I don't want to randomly call the coach to chat, I wanted his number because there were times we had trouble meeting up at tournaments and times he was running late and did not let the team manager know. I asked for his number to contact him about stuff like that, and he provided it. I haven't contacted him about anything else.

Just to add that, if our team manager had been more responsive and organized, this would not be necessary. She's a nice lady but has a lot of kids in a lot of different sports, and probably had too much going on to volunteer for the job. I offered to do it next year, if we have a season.

I would never call a coach. If team manager not getting it done then call club. FWIW most team managers are the most organized people hence why they are managers so I would be shocked that I needed to go above a manager’s head. Coaches who don’t list a number most likely do it because they want to keep a distance from parents so they can focus on soccer. Too often parents attempt to cultivate a relationship to manipulate for their kid.

Send him an email and ask him to call you. WA LA! You have his number.

On TeamSnap yes it is normal to NOT display the coach's personal phone number. Send him a message on TeamSnap or via email. Parents phone numbers are display in case your child has an emergency.

Why do you need to call him on his personal phone?

Does the Team Snap message not go to his personal phone?

Seriously, acting like this over a Youth Soccer Coach is hilarious. They are a Youth Soccer Coach not the Pope. Get over yourselves.

If you're too embarrassed to say whatever it is you have to complain about in person after a practice, then maybe you shouldn't say it

Or, it is none of the team managers business. There are few conversations I need to have with the coach but when there is a need to have a conversation with a coach it is none of the team managers business.

Perhaps I can't due to a time commitment, perhaps the coach can't because of a back to back session. Perhaps I don't want to talk in front of my kid or other kids. Perhaps my wanting to talk with the coach is just none of your business and I don't feel like going through a team manager to talk to someone who I am paying.

so you want to complain about playing time, but it's awkward if anyone overhears to a coach who isn't making nearly enough to have to deal with parents after hours
