Just seeing what fun things everyone found to do with their kids.

We have been busy swimming in the lake, camping in the yard, going to the drive in and just wrapped up two nights at a hotel with a pool.

What are yo u doing to help your kids have a great summer?

Stop trying so hard, OP. With your kids and with us.

+1

Remember this was the lady who thought people should buy a $4K pontoon or whatever.

I bought my kid a water table and I’m letting him watch Paw Patrol.

Was feeling a little down seeing posts about everyone else going on vacation, so I decided to book a VRBO for August. It's still a couple months away, but I'm happy to have something to look forward to!

Are most hotel pools open? Where did you go? Thanks!

I go to work. They sleep late and play video games. I come home. Someone hopefully walks the dog. Tonight we made cupcakes with sprinkles. Life goes on.

Just trying to get by! Some days are better than others. I would love this time if I didn’t have a full time job. It’s hard to juggle it all but I try to stay positive.

On weekdays, gymnastic camp, science experiments with the baby sitter, swim lessons.

Sandy beaches? Was there wet water there, too?

We moved out of DC to the beach so basically every day is a vacation for our kids. (We still have to work but with no commute and not working on weekends most of life also feels like a vacation to us). Highly recommend!

Short term or permanently? Your preexisting beach house or a rental? Those are scarce.

Nothing much. He likes art so signed him up for a few virtual art camps. He is a rising sixth grader so virtual works ok for him for a few hours a day. He's made some nice stuff.

Not PP, but not all beaches are sandy. I live in Northern Ontario, and while we have many beautiful beaches, most are rocky/ pebbly. A sandy beach is a treat.
