Do interracial and marriages of color last longer?

Never heard of this. What about the husband's age?

Does a young wife correlate with longer or shorter marriages? I can’t tell from your post.

All my white male friends who divorced their white wives are now happily married to Asian women.

Black woman here--I'm curious about why this would be (and I'm also biracial, as my black mom married my South Asian dad). I can't think of any reason that wouldn't be purely speculative.

Another black woman here. Married 9 years to a white man. We have talked about this and I don't have anything but a similar comment - we worked hard up front to understand each other, even if our parents didn't. DH is very aware of his privilege and works hard for us. There's always something new to learn, but it keeps us on our toes in terms of improving communications. I also don't put up with sh*t so there's that.

I can't find more recent data - this is from CDC 2002

+1

+2 But from what I've seen looking at the parents of my close Desi friends, it's not always something to look up to and admire, as many of the marriages are beyond miserable and it's culturally verboten to separate. Living through decades of misery isn't an achievement I'd like to emulate.

(Disclaimer: I am not divorced, not in the process of divorce, and do not plan to get divorced).

DP. Divorce rates are highest for brides under age 20 or over age 45.

I think the best age is 28. Anything before or after and the divorce rate goes up. I could google it but I'm lazy, as, apparently, are you.

I agree but question wasn't who was happiest it was who lasts longest.

And despite those differences we truly want to be together. I actually do not know any interracial marriages that have ended in divorce in my circle of friends, but of course that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

+1. I'm also a south asian woman married to a white husband, and we have a very strong marriage. I agree with everything you said, and add that I learned a lot from a few relationships in my younger days with white men who, i can see now, were kind of racist and felt I was an "other." When I met my husband it was much more clear to me that he was truly not racist.

Uh, don't most people get married within these parameters?

Highly unlikely that anyone is arranging an Indian woman’s marriage to a non-Indian man.

Title of the post clearly says interracial and marriages of color.

I know interracial marriages that have ended in divorce. It would be interesting to see the statistics, though.

Almost no one in my Hispanic family is still in their first marriage. This goes back to my grandmother, whose marriage was not at all successful, although she never officially divorced. I don't know if we are outliers, however, for an Hispanic family.
