Nick Cordero the Broadway actor is also under 50 and was in excellent health....till Covid. He’s been in the hospital for weeks and weeks, oh and his leg was amputated. |
LOL, what on earth? |
NP - try to keep up. This is why the focus on mortality rates alone is simplistic and wrong. There are too many unknowns with this virus to gamble with your health and the health of your family. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.latimes.com/science/story/2020-04-10/coronavirus-infection-can-do-lasting-damage-to-the-heart-liver%3f_amp=true |
| If it is inevitable that we all eventually get it, I at least don’t want to be an “early adopter.” There is still so much unknown about this disease. I prefer having the experiential knowledge and research about best treatments. For example, they now know positioning people prone is more helpful than ventilators. But they still don’t understand much about strokes in non-elderly adults or MIS-C in kids. No thanks. |
How on earth does that article say 'people are not recovering without damage to internal organs!??! Answer: it doesn't, not even close. Stop fear mongering. |
You seem uneducated. |
| I'm with you, OP. I feel like getting it is inevitable, so waiting for the boom is torturous. |
|
I will protect myself, my kids and family.
OP, may your wish be granted. May you and your family get COVID and get over it.
|
| Look, I hope there will be a vaccine. I believe in the future that there will be improved therapeutics and early treatment options/better supply to prevent some of the outcomes we are seeing now. So we're good to wait over here. |
| Would you get in a plane or a car with a 1% chance of a wreck? I mean I know it sounds low but ... |
It’s more than 1% for disability or lasts for damage. |
Yeah, the disinformation campaign making us think COVID is NBD is working! Good job Tweedledee and Tweedledum. |
| This thing is mainly a concern for old people and fat people. Just go about your life normally OP, and if you get it fine. NBD. |
Read the article - in the context of liver damage, it states “In those who survived mild and severe disease alike, the researchers found that many of the biological measures had “failed to return to normal.” This is a sign of organ damage, perhaps permanent, perhaps not, the liver is a resilient organ. No one knows right now and no one has a good way of predicting who will suffer and who won’t. Your risk, your life - it’s really nothing to anyone other than yourself - but take your risks with full information. |
Hey guys glad you found the thread! Got to earn those propo paychecks! |
