NP - try to keep up.  This is why the focus on mortality rates alone is simplistic and wrong.  There are too many unknowns with this virus to gamble with your health and the health of your family.

Read the article - in the context of liver damage, it states “In those who survived mild and severe disease alike, the researchers found that many of the biological measures had “failed to return to normal.”  This is a sign of organ damage, perhaps permanent, perhaps not, the liver is a resilient organ. No one knows right now and no one has a good way of predicting who will suffer and who won’t.
