| My friend named her child that, but they don't live in the US. |
And the son’s name is actually spelled Phinnaeus. See what I mean? |
| Better than Ferb. |
We have actually considered Phineas Jaylen or Phineas Jasper with a nn of Phin or PJ! |
|
What was the book we read in English class with that character? Google tells me it was called a separate peace.
Nope. |
Our choice was between Phineas and Plato. We actually had to draw a name to decide! |
Yes, that’s it. He kills himself, or injures himself jumping out of a tree. Phineas is too trendy and ridiculous for a kid. It’s like a kid I know named Maximilian. It’s a first-kid name, when you approach it like naming a pet. Later you realize the kid makes the name, not vice versus. |
| Plato Thomas |
| It's my son's middle name, so I'm partial... |
I don’t think he committed suicide. I have a vague memory of having a literary crush on him. I like the name. |
| I’m going to think Phineas and Ferb every single time I hear the name. |
| When I heard this name I thought of the name Phineas P. Gage. I wasn't sure why and couldn't remember who he was so I Googled him. Why did that name come to mind? It's from graduate school is psychology 20 years ago. Unless you hang out with neuropsychologists no one else will have this association but he is a big deal in that field. |
|
Phineas P. Gage was the second thing I thought of, after Ferb.
My neice's little boy is Fionn but they're Irish & live in Ireland. |
Yeah, he's the guy that had the metal rod go through his head. I do remember that. Weird story. |
| Wasn't that a steak place at Tyson's or Montgomery mall? |
