So are any parks opening in VA tomorrow with Phase 1?

People and their stupid nails kill me. THEY ARE NAILS. You’re sitting in your house. Who the F cares?? Of all the thing to put other people at risk for, nails have got to be the most confusing for me. Circumventing phased opening to drive to Stafford for a *manicure.*

You’re a selfish prick, OP.

How about normal parks? Will they open?

Overnight camps not allowed. How about day camps, specifically sports camps like golf, tennis and soccer?

DH really needs a haircut. So do our boys. And I would drive to get a mani/pedi.

Thinking of taking kids to either Stafford or Fauquier County to get some grooming done.

What is WRONG with you? The last thing those counties need are people from NoVa coming to their counties and spreading the virus. WTF?

Then their leaders should take that up with the leaders of NOVA. OF COURSE all the NOVA people are just going to drive into Fauquier, Stafford, etc. to do the things they can't do in NOVA. I know several people that called hair salons in Warrenton for appointments as soon as they heard NOVA wasn't going into phase 1 like the rest of VA

nope. Just the selfish a-holes.

You people need to relax. The weather is gorgeous out. Who isn’t out and about? You can stay home and be grumpy.

DH took kids to get haircuts wearing masks. We went to the park. It wasn’t crowded at all and we stayed at least 20 ft away from people. It was more like 100ft actually. MD and DE beaches are open. NC, SC and GA have been open.

If you want to stay locked up in your house, that is fine. We are going out responsibly.

Please don’t ask other people to give you mani/pedi a, hair cuts, massages, facials, etc. They are at risk and in high contact all day, even if you’re a quick in and out.

Op,

Go and enjoy. You will not die.

How do you expect the manicurist/hairstylist/etc. to pay rent and feed her children if you are demanding that no one give her business?

Do YOU have a paycheck right now?

Well, I’m a massage therapist. I’ve been without pay since mid March. So my viewpoint is prob closer to reality than someone wanting pampering. I understand the sanitation and safety practices involved for personal services right now. You really can’t perform any personal services safely though atm. The level off PPE, ventilation, and distancing does not currently exist in most spas/salons.

Typos...but it should track, be cautious a bit longer. Beauty treatments are not worth endangering yourself or others. Services will get safer, but they just are not. Anyone working in a spa right now is not feeling awesome about it.

You know this doesn’t apply to a lot of people, right?

A blogger I like said she went in one day to the dentist, to get a mammogram and then to get her eyebrows waxed. The first two I understand but the last one...WTH? How is that worth it? Someone has to get so close to you for that. I am sure they had masks but I just can't understand people's priorities.

I feel bad judging others but I just don’t get it.

I just got a mani pedi. I wore a mask. As soon as you walked in, you had to wash your hands. All the workers wore a mask and put new gloves on. A bag was put in the pedicure station. My technician also had a face shield. They added glass to all the manicure stations. I did not dry my nails and left after I was done.

You’re not getting it. That’s probably not enough to protect you, or anyone else there. The air is shared ALL DAY LONG, for every shift. At best they can uv the place at night. If there is no time the place is empty between patrons it is not possible to properly disinfect.
