ha!

I’m so curious know what identified generation was banned.

"Silent"
"Lost"

no those went through.

"boomer"

nope...

hmm

I can type Ford, or Christine Ford, but not her initials. Weird.

There's a cookie that acts as a uniquifier and your IP address.

It's the phrase that starts out OK but it's not OK

This thread is so great.

Seems like a solid plan.

If at first you don't succeed, try 36 more times. (And still fail.)

He can block your IP. Once I got blocked when staying out of the country, I think because it was unusual to have so much traffic from where I was staying... I contacted Jeff and he fixed it. Thanks Jeff!!

Do you mean the entire list changes daily or that you just add new words daily?

I add and subtract words daily. Sometimes multiple times a day. I use it to help with moderation. If some word is being reported repeatedly, I add it so I don't have to keep dealing with the reports.

Ok so why don't you post a link to the version as of right now?

It is not publicly accessible. If you don't post spam or try insulting other posters, you are unlikely to encounter any issues.

OP used a word that caused him to be blocked. OP wanted a list of the words that cause people to be blocked. Jeff said no and OP is in a tizzy.

I got that part, I wasn't clear. I thought blocked words were the "George Carlin words you can't say on TV" words. What phrases and lists are changing daily that people are using? That's what confused me.

Her concern appears to be two terms that have been commonly — too commonly in my opinion — derogatorily towards posters (particularly women) of a certain age.

This is an example of something I mentioned in my AMA. Intuitively, I should be worried that an active user has decided to stop using DCUM. But what I have found is that users like this are a net negative who drive away more traffic than they add. Because being able to insult other posters is her priority, we are better off without her.

Exactly right. Thank you for your efforts!
