Woman posts that she got home after a 9HR shift to this

I have a friend who just had back surgery and posted something similar on Facebook, but without the pictures. Apparently her husband is working long days too, and there's only so much she can do post surgery. They have 3 kids though, but one is 10 and certainly old enough to help out with laundry and the dishwasher. I also don't get how laundry piles up like that--jeez, just have everyone undress directly into the washer every night and let it run while you sleep, dump it in the dryer in the morning, and boom, the laundry is always caught up except for sheet-towel day.

Agree. That mess did not appear in just 9 hours. And a 9 hour shift? Isn't that a regular work day?

With a 7-person household I don't think this is out of character. I do think it accumulated over a week and she didn't do anything about it and neither did the husband sitting at home.

In a grocery store. During a pandemic. With no protective gear unlike healthcare professionals.

If I got home to this after such a taxing day I'd be pissed too.

My husband is not like this, but that’s because his father was an equal contributor in the home, and they both worked. Men behave in the way that was modeled for them. I don’t blame women who marry someone like this because how the hell are you supposed to figure out the man was raised to be a lazy pig?

My DH grew up without a dad and he’s not like this either.

My sons do the same chores as my girls.

You don't even need it modeled for you. I definitely did not grow up in a household where my father did laundry. But I was raised to be respectful and definitely of my wife.

I do laundry, cook, clean, etc. Hell, I even fold her clothes and put them away b/c her stuff will pile up endlessly.

What does she do, is she a nurse?

The caption she posts with it is unintentionally telling: “my other half *can’t* clean.”

Oh yes he can, sister. Believe me, he certainly can. He just won’t.

This.

I think the problem is 5 kids, and a low earning job.

She is on Tiktok. She needs to use the platform to show how she is making her big brood work in running the house...a la the Duggar family.

You know who this kind of guy is before you marry him. You know who this kind of guy is after one kid. Then you choose to have more. At some point, it's on you. You chose him vs. being alone.

YOU DATE HIM. That's how.

5 kids below 10. In 9 hours the husband made 18 meals. House is standing. Kids are fed. DH sounds like a saint.

Now ...snip, snip.

How old are the kids? If they're all over 10 this is inexcusable. If the oldest is 8, and he's also working from home, be happy they're fed, in bed and no one is hurt!

I am going to show my husband this . I have four kids ages 5-11. He comes home from work to a clean house, laundry done, schoolwork done, and dinner on the table.

Of course, after dinner, he takes the kids to play video games while I watch crappy TV.
