remember they chose tax money over human lives

what are you talking about? They're protecting the environment. This will pass. If it lasts forever, then let's reconsider. So dramatic.
people will die from covid and reusables transmit it

Exactly.

Just do self check out and hit one bag when it asks how many bags you used. Then double bag and use what you need. The bags at Safeway fall apart anyway, I feel no guilt after having a few break in the parking lot. And screw MoCo.

Back to my reusesbles then.

No bag tax? Ok, I’ll use your sh!tty plastic bags, as long as they’re free.

But now I have to pay for each one? Nope. Not gonna do it.

Don’t care.

I don't have a problem with that, OP. You should be disinfecting bag handles anyway, so it changes nothing regarding Covid-19. The rest decontaminates when it sits there for 2-3 days, as you've been told to do.

A lot of thieves on this thread.

I'm fine with paying 5 cents a bag. I can let them sit a few days and then use them for something else. Come on people.

I think these taxes are all hilarious. When I was a kid during the 'Global Cooling' days, paper bags were banned because they killed trees. We were told that the new biodegradable plastic bags were the answer. I remember that newspaper recyclers complained because people used to bag their post in newspaper bags. Whatever. Shortly after, apparently the next ice age we were being taught about in school turned into 'global warming' and the plastic bags were seen as environment polluters and we are back to looking for paper bags or recyclable bags that grocery stores will no longer allow because of the COVID threat.

Might as well not bother paying for the items in your cart either...just scan one or two items and bag the rest of your stolen items in your stolen bags. Toss the bags in a river when finished so you do not have to worry about them again.

plastic bags are disgusting. you find them all over parks and waterways.

I always bag my own stuff at the grocery, using my own reusable bags. Much faster and more efficient.

You are an incredible fool. Don't you see the evidence for global warming all around you? Melting glaciers, hottest years on record, australia and california on fire?

I like reusable bags and I try to remember to wash mine. I've certainly been more mindful of that now.

Of course, contamination is the priority now and I understand that most people don't think to wash theirs, at least not enough. But biodegradable plastic or recycled paper are better options.
