Particularly Denison, Miami of Ohio, and Wooster.

The name is not "Miami of Ohio." It's Miami University.

Miami was a university in Ohio when Florida belonged to Spain. If you need to make a distinction, call the University of Miami "Miami of Florida."

Who really cares but you.

With the looming recession, I think all in-state schools will become more and more desirable.

Also: Pitt.

As someone who grew up in the south and couldn't wait to get away from all of this, I find this so ironic and borderline laughable.

Elon was a joke a decade ago. Now, I agree, it is becoming a first-choice school. I’ve been surprised at the quality of the kids (nice, bright, hard working kids) going there from our school/neighborhood.

Elon bio grad here, and I follow the bio dept on social media. The number of bio and chem Elon graduates now in medical school, residencies, etc. is impressive. Their science dept is really doing well. Their cadaver lab is a draw.

SLACs specifically not on the East Coast - Occidental mentioned earlier, the midwestern SLACs, and even southern SLACs like Rhodes and Sewanee.

Funny. I see the opposite.

With the possible exception of Trinity and Conn College the Nescacs have always been very popular.
