Seriously. There are so many reasons that are not “selfish spouse”. You can ride at night. You can ride during naps so when your spouse is home you can have family time. You don’t have to worry about weather. You don’t have to wear sunscren or a shirt. You can get a better workout that stopping every two blocks for a light. The instructors are very motivating. My kids are a bit older so I do workouts while they play nearby and see me prioritizing myself and working out and modelling that behavior. I’m not OP but also married to a very non-selfish spouse who runs outside while I ride inside after our kids go to bed. This allows us to maximize our time together while still fitting in a workout.

Btw, a real bike is an alternative to peleton. If you spouse is an absentee father that's a different issue.

Ugh go away, outdoor rider! Cycling outside is great. It’s also not the same as taking an indoor spinning class, and peloton isn’t trying to be the same as riding outside. Enjoy your bike, and scroll on by when people ask questions about peloton, which are clearly not directed at you.

I bought a cheaper bike and hated it. Last year when we finally paid off car and braces, bought peloton. It is x 1000 better. Sorry, I know this is not the answer you want

I ride outdoors for fun but like having an indoor option.
