Not at all. Married to a great guy. He’s currently working a corona triage. Also military and occasionally deploys. Definitely not selfish. |
Way to be encouraging of someone’s fitness goals. You ride outside. Others like to exercise indoors or are at work during most daylight hours. I too happen to prefer outdoor cycling, but you’re at jerk. |
Seriously. There are so many reasons that are not “selfish spouse”. You can ride at night. You can ride during naps so when your spouse is home you can have family time. You don’t have to worry about weather. You don’t have to wear sunscren or a shirt. You can get a better workout that stopping every two blocks for a light. The instructors are very motivating. My kids are a bit older so I do workouts while they play nearby and see me prioritizing myself and working out and modelling that behavior. I’m not OP but also married to a very non-selfish spouse who runs outside while I ride inside after our kids go to bed. This allows us to maximize our time together while still fitting in a workout. I’m glad outside works for you. |
So an absent father, got it. |
Liberal It's unhealthy to never have a spouse around so you can go out without a chi!d. Btw, a real bike is an alternative to peleton. If you spouse is an absentee father that's a different issue. |
| Ugh go away, outdoor rider! Cycling outside is great. It’s also not the same as taking an indoor spinning class, and peloton isn’t trying to be the same as riding outside. Enjoy your bike, and scroll on by when people ask questions about peloton, which are clearly not directed at you. |
| I bought a cheaper bike and hated it. Last year when we finally paid off car and braces, bought peloton. It is x 1000 better. Sorry, I know this is not the answer you want |
| The echelon is the cheaper option |
Only absent when he’s protecting the country. At least he’s modeling service and respect. You’re modeling what? Being a jerk and riding a bike outdoors. Go away. |

I ride outdoors for fun but like having an indoor option.
I just got this bike: https://www.amazon.com/MaxKare-Magnetic-Stationary-Adjustable-Resistance/dp/B07RKFMB59 Will report after a few more rides but so far, excellent for the price. Quiet and I like magnetic resistance. |
