Get a real bike and ride outdoors.
Rain. Being able to ride with a baby napping. All good reasons to work out inside.
Are you a single parent or married to a selfish spouse?
Way to be encouraging of someone’s fitness goals. You ride outside. Others like to exercise indoors or are at work during most daylight hours. I too happen to prefer outdoor cycling, but you’re at jerk.
Seriously. There are so many reasons that are not “selfish spouse”. You can ride at night. You can ride during naps so when your spouse is home you can have family time. You don’t have to worry about weather. You don’t have to wear sunscren or a shirt. You can get a better workout that stopping every two blocks for a light. The instructors are very motivating. My kids are a bit older so I do workouts while they play nearby and see me prioritizing myself and working out and modelling that behavior. I’m not OP but also married to a very non-selfish spouse who runs outside while I ride inside after our kids go to bed. This allows us to maximize our time together while still fitting in a workout. I’m glad outside works for you.
