What are you giving up for Lent?

I used to give up ice cream.

Then I learned that you don't have to fast on Sundays during Lent so I'd gorge on ice cream on Sundays.

That seemed stupid, so I just gave up fasting altogether.

I've given up on giving up.

I can’t decide. I want to do sugar but I don’t think I can do it 100%. I can do soda for sure, and sweets/candy/dessert. Just not sure about things like bread and alcohol. Maybe I should give up those? ?

Food. I’m trying to lose weight, and eating less and healthier.

Also resolving to be more patient and supportive of teen DS.

Me too. The BSA thread threw me over the edge today. I need a break, Lent is a good reason to take one.

I'm doing 40 bags in 40 days. It is good for everyone!

I think I also told one of my kids that I'd give up Candy Crush, which will make waiting on lines very difficult. That's how I pass the time!

I often up dessert and wine/beer and add a take care of self (read for pleasure, add fitness routine)

Same. I gave up Catholicism and gave up giving up. If I need to make a change in my life, I don’t need to wait for New Years or Lent.

The internet—except for paying bills and checking email. I have so many books and magazines to read, so many projects to do. We still get a paper newspaper. Hopefully not wasting time surfing the web will help with my time management. See y’all at Easter.

I'm giving up sweets, cheese, and alcohol.

Adding a Couch-to-5k program, yoga, and improved diet.
