Shook by friends new baby at 44

My OB said her greatest number of unplanned pregnancies, of course, comes from teens, but that 40-somethings are really close behind.

It's a high risk pregnancy. Is baby okay?

I had a close friend who got a sister at 18 and her sister was 16. It was weird but obviously not out of the range of normal. A new baby gives many a new lease on life

Same. My college roommate had a 2 year old sister ... her mom was 43 when she had her.

It's shook.... if you're 20.

Your friend had her first kids before age 24?

Maybe she's trying to be woke?

My DH is one of these babies. My MIL thought it was menopause then a kidney infection and then finally they realized she was pregnant.

Happened to a friend of mine in Florida. Her DH has a vasectomy ten years ago. They have two grown kids. She is 44 and 8 months pregnant. The doctor told her it’s not as rare as many people believe.

It will keep her young.

I have so many questions, but also just fears about the circumstances and if it could happen to me. Has anyone else gotten really scared or shocked by something similar?

You need to get a life. You’re acting like a child died. Calm down.

I would die from shock.

My own shook baby is now 4 and we could not be happier. But it was lovely to see the shocked look on people's faces and to overhear their shook conversations as they gossiped literally standing next to me.

i mean its on the oldish side but your friend isn't the first 44 yearold to have a baby OP. It's been happening for thousands of years.

My grandma had my uncle at 43 - and this was a LOOOOONG time ago.

I could not find the energy at age 44 to re-do the baby years, chase a toddler at age 47, or keep up with all the school aged activities at age 50, and not look like a grandma at high school graduation 18 yrs later.

We had our 3rd at 43, and it is awesome. DH got the V so we should be done, and I assume menopause will close the door.

But we love our baby even though the older kids roll their eyes at him.
