Burial vs Cremation how would you choose to go and why?

Usual burials use toxic chemicals.

The natural burial described above is best.

Why is a bod wrapped in wool better than ashes put in a hole or scattered to the wind?

Maybe PP was talking about "fuel" burning to cremate

Because millions of people are cremated in this world, and the overall burn produces harmful air pollutants.

In a traditional coffin burial, toxic embalming fixatives are used to preserve the body.

Natural fibers such a wool and untreated wood are not toxic for the environment, and degrade easily.

Cremation because the worst case scenario is I'm still alive and that will be quicker.

You can use a sheet or something else too but the caskets have metal and finishes and that is a no. Plain wool box is ok.

Strong acid an option?

I just read that the guy who assassinated President McKinley was electrocuted and then acid was poured into his coffin before burial. What was that about?

I can't be buried, it freaks me out even though I'm not wildly claustrophobic.
Cremation also freaks me out, can't be in a box or thrown into the ocean or dirt.

I'm extremely tied to the earth (tree hugger, don't kill bugs only release, animal whisperer, eco friendly built home, minimize waste)

I'd like to be turned into a diamond but the process isn't very kind to the earth.

I wish I could magically vaporize into the sky.

I'm Catholic and should abide by the norm, just don't feel that happening.

I want plastination and have me placed in a mausoleum with full Disney-like animatronics and audio so I can interact with anyone stopping by.

Natural burial. Pine box, no embalming.

Whatever is cheapest.

This. FIL just died and of course didn’t plan ahead for anything and we’re hoping there’ll be something from his estate to cover what we’ve paid for and still have to pay. Cremation is almost $2k, the church has fees for everything, we have to fly, rent a car, etc. Casket, flowers, etc. total waste of money.

Actually, just donate to science or a medical school or whatever. . They can incinerate whatever’s left with the rest of the medical waste.

Actually this isn’t a bad idea. Do you know if you’re a med school cadaver if they cover your disposal costs?
