Why do you make that assumption? |
Communication from a few weeks ago was that we would be playing NPL. The lack of games scheduled on the NPL website for FCV does make one wonder if that is not the case. It may be an NPL decision or a St James decision. I’m almost certain this isn’t something that FCV’s coaches - esp on the boys side - would want. |
| When are deposits due for next year? It will be more clear right after that. |
How hard could it be to "earn" a spot among that that crap list of teams. |
I think it is club based. I don't see any one off teams. Every club that is in is in it in all age groups. EDP is team based. Usually the team based leagues also have some form of divisions and relegation and promotion. |
Earn a spot in NPL? Npl is a joke and is a bunch of B and C caliber teams, while the A teams play elsewhere. |
Actually, NPL only accepts a clubs A team. It is made up of smaller clubs A teams. |
That is "semi-true". The top PWSI or VSA teams for example are watered down significantly as their top players are with VDA. The same is true for Richmond Kickers and Strikers who have their best playing ECNL with Richmond United. Lastly, the top players at FCV play for their DA teams. So basically 5 of the 11 teams may have their official "top teams" in NPL, but their best players are NOT on those teams. |
Don't forget the top GFR players go to MU. Make that 6 teams |
Starting next year. Not sure many if any GFR players went to MU full time this year. Point still relevant re. NPL though. |
|
| And the best players aren’t playing on those “A” teams. |
| NPL beyone U11 has been declining in competition for the last several years. |
We found the competition in NPL leaps and bounds better than what we were getting on our A-level team in CCL 1. Why do you think it's declining? |
+1 We were also told that we would participate in EDP if there were not any schedule conflicts with NPL games. |
