Your Naviance shows pay? |
Yes need aware. |
No but kids with 3.14 and ACT of 33 getting in. We are at a major private which implies no aid. |
| Bates and Colby play second-fiddle to Bowdoin in Maine. Beware of an inferiority complex. |
| Too cold to play any outdoor sport in northern Maine. I know. |
Bates has a different vibe....more crunchy and liberal. |

Strongly recommend that your LAX daughter attend these showcases to be seen by "competitive academic" colleges:

No one at either school cares. Absurd post. |
| Colby is a special place. Obviously a tough admit but if lacrosse can give her a lift and she can get in she will be very fortunate. Not only is Colby a great place but the NESCAC is like a brotherhood/sisterhood and an immediate connection between people. And the new athletic center looks amazing. Very nice if she’s playing a sport as they spend many hours there. Good luck! |
I agree that Waterville is cold, but I don't think it qualifies as northern Maine. -- Child of Aroostook County natives |
Exactly. Colby is more in the middle. |
| Who the heck wants to play Lacrosse in MAINE???? There is still snow on the ground in Spring. |
People who aren’t complete wimps. |

OP check our their previous schedules. We did this for my daughter playing D3 softball. They go to Florida or Arizona for Spring Break usually, but check how many cancelled games due to weather. We came close to signing with a school in central Mass and update NY, but the weather really affected the actual games played. And those schools end in late April/early May. Just as weather is getting really nice up in theNE. Turf tends to better than grass for softball though. |
