Ask Marie Antionette. She did.

I try this every day, but I am so hungry by 10 am. What time do you stop eating/go to bed/wake up/and eat your first meal?

I forgot how I got through it but when I started IF it was brutal but you have to stick with it and be mentally strong for two weeks and then voila you don't miss breakfast anymore.

Intermittent fasting and cutting out alcohol. If you need a guide, I have heard good things about this online program from friends: https://chtwellness.lpages.co/inner-goddess/

Another vote for IF. Earlier than expected (48) menopause brought a 10 pound weight gain. Nothing seemed to move the scale; not more cardio, not increased exercising, not even cutting out snacking.

IF fasting seemed to reset my metabolism. Back to my normal weight now. I started IF on weekends only, now I do 3 days week.

Yes if nonfat half and half has no calories. Or very very little looks just a couple of drops. If going cold turkey doesn't usually work for you then gradually reduce the half and half over time.

Non fat half and half is terrible for you. Coffee with a splash of half and half is fine while fasting. There is no fasting police. The goal of IF is redice your calorie intake. If your only calories between 6pm- noon is 35 worth of half half you are doing fine and the benefits will be the same (if you benefit)

I am in a similar boat. I am thinking of drinking two cups of water before lunch or dinner. I have lost the first 20lb through IF but the last 10 are very hard to lose even with 16:8 IF of 6 months because I simply eat a lot. But, I am now going to try two cups of water before a meal. Any advice?

The problem with nonfat half-and-half is it is essentially milk, sugar, and thickeners. The carbohydrates will usually break your body's state of fasting, even in a small amount. There is also controversy regarding non-caloric sweeteners because some people think it stimulates an insulinogenic response in the same way sugar would.

+1 use real half and half. Don’t be afraid of fat. The low/no fat craze is dangerous because everything is just replaced with sugar or carbs to make it that way.

I drink coffee with half and half every morning during IF and it is totally fine.

Can you post an IF example?

I think the best IF that works for me is two large meals per day. Noon and 7pm. Include dessert or whatever. But, nothing in between meals No food of course during IF window.
