The OP says she has gone on multiple times. Makes no difference now because the store just closed.

I remember OP's previous posts. I don't think she ever went to the store in person.

Read her first post here, she says she’s gone in repeatedly.

Yes I have gone to the store & they always say they can’t do anything without the owner there. I’d guess he’s probably in the back. I said I’m going to tell all of the customers in here about my experience (there was only one couple) and they didn’t care that I did. It’s really weird. I’ll try going on a weekend.

OP here - I figured that was coming. I hope the owner, David, doesn’t try to open anything else.

I would try Amex again. Tell them what the vendor said about not supplying the store with that brand. Feels like fraud not an order issue. You might have better luck putting time and energy into escalating with Amex (big company, not going out of business, want to keep you as a loyal customer, a few hundred bucks to them to make this go away might be worth it). I would call several times and escalate to managers each time. Worth a shot

OP, this would really piss me of and I'm sorry it happened to you.

I thought this store closed years ago because this same sort of scamming.

If you call the property manager for Turnpike Shopping Center, they will provide you with Baby Blossom’s attorney contact information. It seems like that might be the most direct route to obtaining an answer and hopefully getting your money back. Indeed, the store has vacated their space. I had a similar experience but was lucky enough to receive a full refund from my credit card company. Which car seat manufacturer was this?

Wow, I’m so sorry OP. We also had issues with them in 2018, but eventually got everything we had purchased. I hope you are successful on principle. They are clearly running a scam.

The Secretary of State should have a mailing address on file for the business.

Thank you, OP, and everyone else for posting about this.

Call one if those local consumer reporters (on a TV station). Stores always fold in the face is such publicity

OP here - thanks for all of the suggestions. I will follow up bc I hate the idea that this scum bag owner thinks he can get away with this, likely to multiple people. The car seat is a Wayb Pico. Wayb has been phenomenal. I am floored bc they actually just fedexed me a new seat at zero cost as they saw my trail of emails and my receipt. I can’t believe it! I will also say that so far this seat is excellent. I had intended to use it primarily as a travel seat, but I have been using it to try it out before an upcoming trip, and am impressed. I highly recommend it, for the Wayb service alone! If you’re not familiar with the seat, it is completely lightweight and folds to be pretty small, but is metal so safe.

THere is a store, I drive past it every day. It's in the Fair City Shopping Mall off 236, near Dollar Tree and across Pickett from Trader Joes.
I've been in several times and have bought several things, the owners were very nice and helpful.

(I have never ordered from them, but don't' like to see people falsely accused)

The store has indeed closed. I feel for the costumers who are not getting what they paid for, but I also feel bad for the owners. They were always helpful and customer oriented. It's tough out there for local stores like them. I do hope they get back on their feet.
