Dumbish bottled water question

500 milion million animals? That is 500,000 billion. Are there even that many animals in Australia?

I'm not disagreeing with your point but please present yourself rationally, or else you discredit everything you say.

We have a bottom loader as of Sept. Our building has really bad hard water. It stains our teeth and even our vet wanted us to stop using the tap for the cat. However, the owner won’t allow a filter to be installed. We’ve snuck and tried the screw on kinds, but they don’t fit the hardware. The dispenser is the only other option.

The water delivery services will deliver gallon bottles or 3 gallon sizes if that is what you need. I would also look into the ZeroWater pitcher filters. https://www.zerowater.com/zerowater-products.php My MIL has terrible water and swears by them. The pitchers are slow but they do produce good tasting water.

Yes they produce "good tasting" water but they do not filter out chemicals. They are a waste of money. We've had all kinds of filters over the years. I'm going to get a counter top distiller when I can afford one. They're slow, too, though.

And the same chemicals are in bottled water. They are in the water supply and it makes no difference whether the water is bottled or from a tap and filtered. Unless your water has known contaminants in it, bottled or tap, it is all the same except for taste and appearance.

Thank you for the lecture. Hope you feel purged.

Not PP. Seriously - you need to wake up, the planet is being destroyed, partly because of you. What the heck is wrong with you??

This! Please stop. Buy a Berkey and a nice water bottle to carry around.

Your message may have merit, but your delivery stinks.

You hurt your own case by being such a drama queen.

You don’t understand the difference between a 16 oz single use plastic water bottle and a 5 gal water cooler bottle? You return the latter to the grocery store and they get refilled. They aren’t floating around the beaches like the former.

NP. Get a Berkey. Problem solved.

I'm the poster who has used every filter under the sun over the years. We had a Berkey. The filters literally broke off of the plastic part that screws into the stainless steel. Who knows how long waster was seeping through that part instead of through the filter. I had them replaced TWO TIMES and it happened two more times. The Berkey is a great idea but it doesn't work. So sad.

What? I don't get your point. Of course it is not all the same. The only reason to use bottled water or filtered water over tap water is to filter out contaminants. Do people really use filters to change the appearance or the taste? I used them to filter out chemicals -- which is what the better filters advertise, not "clean taste." I want no lead, not or "no lead taste."

Your tax dollars already pay for this. Your local government ensures that the lead levels in your drinking water are safe. Why do people insist on throwing money at non problems?

LOL. I drink tap water, but even I know this isn’t true. Just ask Flint.
