Are halo rings really considered tacky?

But there's something about the warmth of the rose gold around the larger diamond that really makes my ring gorgeous. I love it and I've never had a an issue with stones falling out. Been wearing it for 5 years.

Worst ring I have ever seen.

The tacky one is a cluster of 4 pretending to be a stone. It’s weird. Just do a half eternity band or just a gold band. Both are lovelier.

Wow there are some nasty posters on this thread. pp, I think it's lovely and please anyone with a halo ring don't worry about the opinion of others - only miserable people would make someone feel bad about their wedding ring!

Love yourself. You sound like you need it if you need to be so insulting to others who are happy.

It is impossible that adding diamonds to a diamond ring can do anything but make it better!

Oh stop. PP your ring is beautiful and you are right about the rose gold and diamonds looking lovely together.

I love my halo ring. We bought it because it reminded us of vintage settings.

Why should I care what anyone else thinks about it? It’s a wonderful reminder for me of our marriage.

Lol that the rose gold ring is as bad as it gets! It’s beautiful. It might not be your style but to say it’s ugly is you just being rude (and likely envious).

I don’t think they are tacky at all. It’s a classic style and not dated. I have several gemstones set into halo settings and not because I needed them to look bigger.

I consider all diamond rings not worn during a formal occasion to be tacky.

Yes, super weird, but actually a very legit (albeit a very old fashioned) set of norms.

How old are you?

I like halo settings with a non diamond center stone.
