Also if your kid isn’t not sick, you may be driving too fast.

Kids get car sick. I know mine did. Driving speed is irrelevant.

Just to be clear, because apparently it really matters. Kid was sick. I'm also deeply familiar with carsickness. Let's try to stay on point, folks.

I'm in DC and I have a car , I could get to Annandale.

Flagship car wash on Rockville Pike did a great job getting rid of vomit smell from my car and car seat. It was $75.

Thank you! Flagship here in DC is the first place I called. I think they're not working because it's a rainy day?

The one on Connecticut & Albermarle used to have a detail shop shed/garage in the back alley...

I had a similar situation and I paid about $250 for a deep cleaning/detailing. I could still smell vomit. I have a very sensitive nose. I should have skipped the pros. Here is what I did that finally eliminated the odor (I don't know which thing did it because I did them all)

1. Nature's miracle - saturated the area and let dry. Did this once weekly for a month
2. placed bowls of white vinegar in the floor overnight a couple of days
3. Used charcoal odor absorbing bags for a month

Get a Charcoal Package - absorbs the smell!

Get the mini hand held portable Bissell cleaner. It works great with their solution.

There's a place under wholefoods in friendship in the parking lot.

When this happened to my DH (who was sure he was just going to have to get rid of the car), we poured baking soda on the fabric and let it sit overnight, then vacuumed it off. Repeated several times and the smell was gone. We kept the car for many more years and I never smelled an odor, even while pregnant.

I’ve used cliffdeweysautodetailing.com in Silver Spring. Highly recommend.

Make sure all the vomit was cleaned out of where the seat belts are in the seat. When I had this happen that was the problem - there was still plastic wrapped around the seat belt connectors and vomit was in there not drying and it was SO GROSS. Once I got that cleaned, and used natures miracle, and left my windows down for a few days (in a secure place at work) the smell was gone.

Cloth seats? People still do that?

BioKleen Bac Out is much better than Natures Miracle. NM leaves you with a chemical smell that’s almost as bad as the vomit/poop/pee odor.

How did you get into the where the seat belt retracts into? Is there a removable part?
