Maxi cosi is awful, not in the same category as the others. (And it’s available at target so definitely not luxury.). We have maxi cosi in one car and clek in the other and clek is so much nicer and safer. |
NP- Oh really? I was reading reviews last night because I need to buy a convertible seat on Black Friday and it has good reviews. You like the clek a lot better? |
| I had the Britax B-agile and matching carseat for my first (bought in 2015). The carseat was totally fine, but I HATED the stroller. It's very hard to push, impossible to do it with one hand. I'm planning to replace the stroller for #2 due next year with a city mini GT, which also adapts to the britax car seat. I considered scrapping the whole thing for an uppababy system, but the strollers are heavy, replacing a perfectly good carseat and bases with very expensive ones seems nutty to me, and this is my last kid so I have no use down the line for the transition to a double stroller that the uppababy offers (but that might matter to you). |
You are totally right! i looked on Lucie's List, and they have it listed as a "budget" euro-carseat. We had Nuna Pippa and I couldn't have been happier with it. |
So the Maxi cosi has a pretty cheap scratchy fabric and a chest clip with sharp edges (when not closed). It is a lot wider than the clek (but somehow with less room for the kid?) so it we can’t have anyone else sit in the back with two maxi cosi seats. In the other car there is an open passenger seat next to the two cleks. The downside to the clek is that it’s very heavy. The upside is that it lasts basically forever with really high weight limits. The clek is on sale for Black Friday, take a look! (And I admit that I am probably irrationally annoyed at the maxi cosi seats, I think I’m just annoyed that I didn’t just get two more cleks when we got a second car.). Good luck deciding! |
