Actually I know exactly what a 6 year old Benz is worth - and it's well within reach of a security guard. |
| It's a A-class. Barely 30k when brand new. |
You think someone making $12/hr can afford a 6 year old Benz? You are incredibly out of touch. |
That six year old Benz of that particular model is only worth like $12,000, so yes, it is within reach of someone making $12/hr, especially if they have a spouse earning or live with roommates. And mall security guards make more than $12/hr. They're usually around $18-$20. You're the one out of touch here. |
Np. premium fuel, increased insurance, extremely expensive maintenance and repairs - is that all comfy at $12/hr too??
|
People buy cars they can't afford all of the time. Why is this so hard for you to comprehend? |
| Pretty sure no tow truck company is towing that car because a citizen calls them. By the time the truck gets there the car could be gone. Now if they have a contract with the mall and security calls them, thats different. |
Premium is what, like $.30 more a gallon? Insurance? How much do you think the insurance IS on a $12,000 car? Repairs? Benzes aren't exactly super reliable, but you don't need to fix them every month. And security guards make more than $12 an hour, by the way. |
| More evidence that back-in parkers are self-absorbed a-holes. |
And pull-in parkers live only in the moment, and are utterly incapable of forethought or planning in even the most basic sense. |
LOL backing in is "preparing?!"
That's like "preparing" or needing forethought to put on a pair of socks or turning a doorknob. You must have a lot of struggles in life with the most menial of tasks. |
??? Backing in is just easier and safer much of the time... |
+1 Most professional/commercial drivers are trained/required to back in to spaces specifically because it's been proven safer to pull out of a space than to back out. Plus with all the Type-A azzholes we have in the D.C. area who think it's ok to do 30mph down a parking lot lane, backing out is a great way to have one of these jagoffs run into you at-speed. At least if you're pulling out of a space, you can somewhat see down the lane a good distance. Plus, I agree with the "planning ahead" thing. People that pull into spaces without thinking about having to back out when they leave probably don't think much beyond the moment. Instant gratification. They probably don't have a 401k. |
| For the life of me I'll never understand why or how backing out of a parking space (after pulling in forward) is so difficult and apparently "dangerous" for so many people. I've been driving for 25 years, and have never had an unsafe moment backing out of a space. Neither should any non-amoeba-brained driver who's actually paying attention to their surroundings. |
