That six year old Benz of that particular model is only worth like $12,000, so yes, it is within reach of someone making $12/hr, especially if they have a spouse earning or live with roommates.

And mall security guards make more than $12/hr. They're usually around $18-$20.

Premium is what, like $.30 more a gallon? Insurance? How much do you think the insurance IS on a $12,000 car? Repairs? Benzes aren't exactly super reliable, but you don't need to fix them every month. And security guards make more than $12 an hour, by the way. [/quote]
